Great food no paper menu fresh selections everyday. Sometimes they run out of that evenings special which is this nature of making something new every night. Nice small intimate place could stand to lose a little of that 08'er attitude. Great food

A small old house is where it all starts. The owner "Chapman" cooks every meal from scratch. They have many Italian dishes but that's far from the whole menu. A chalkboard let's you know what's avaliable each night and they erase any item if it's sold out. The scallops are awesome but I could list about 10 others that are...

My wife and I have been here probably 80-100 times over the last 10 years. It is consistently excellent start to finish. As many have said, it is small and reservations are a good idea. The service is wonderful and we have had the same waitress much of those 10 years. The food is spectacular. My favorites have changed over...

Have been here many times and the food is always excellent. A small local restaurant. No menu with everything on a chalk board. My favorite is the fish. The sauces are wonderful. Best to make a reservation.
Small but nice, candle lite table. Food was obviously fresh and had an awesome taste, nicely prepared and served hot with nice, not hard bread and oil for dipping.
The chef prepares meals with fresh ingredients daily. The menu is on the chalk board at the front of the dining area and changes with what the chef fancies that day, ranging from fresh seafood, to cajun to italian. It's small and intimate. They have a heated courtyard for outside dining. Bring your own wine, or select from their reasonably...

If you want great food that is reasonably priced, Via Emilia is the place in West Mobile. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. The place is small, with limited seating, so be sure to come early or make a reservation.
The night we visited, Via Emilia had a "seating" policy, though our friends said this was a recent weekend arrangement. Our time was at 6:00, exit at 7:30. That made us a tad nervous because our main courses were very long in coming. Via is a tiny, chaotic gem with a light handed Medit. approach, very limited menu, fresh bread,...

This is a small and very busy restaurant so make your reservations ahead of time. The food is very good ,reasonably priced .The service is friendly ,as is the usual for Mobile. I would definitely recommend it for an occasional evening out.
Although the location is hectic, being right at the intersection of University and Old Shell Road, I quicly forgot about that when I started eating. Everything was superb ! The sauces were phenomenal and the "cajun pizza" appetizer was to die for. Tiny place with yummmy food!
