I find Montgomery to have relatively few truly notable dining choices for a city its size. While on business I decided to try True, a restaurant I had read about on Trip Advisor. The organic chicken was one of the tastiest meals I've had and was very reasonably priced. The chicken was served on a bed of mashed carrots with... More

Creative and classic cuisine. I was there for lunch, and appreciated the creative twists on classics like pimento cheese, pork schnitzel. Great salads! The decor is stylish and current. Would definitely recommend for a variety of occasions.

Creative menu, well executed, excellent service and a decent wine list. Snapper and grouper were excellent, as well as the calamari salad, the beet/carrot salad and the home made vanilla ice cream with berries drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Outstanding!! Note: As you arrive, you might be apprehensive about the neighborhood, but once you turn the corner onto this street, it's... More

sometimes places like this don't live up to the chef's reputation, however this was completely the other way around.Easy to find and in historic district of Montgomery. Menu was nicely done with enough options and specials. Shrimp and oyster risotto was amazing. Very nice wine selection and reasonable prices. What more do you want.

We were traveling between Florida and South Carolina. While on the interstate, we pulled up tripadvisor on our cell phones and used the "near me" function. Since we were looking for a meal on a Sunday, we had to thumb through a few restaurants. Thankfully, we chose "True" - a lovely spot in a gentrified and historic neighborhood. Be aware... More

A quiet mid-week evening at a window table to celebrate the holidays; two of us talking and sharing TRUE's delicious fare: champagne, lightly crusted seared grouper over mushrooms & Brussels sprouts, a simple shared salad, shared stick-toffee pudding, & coffee. With friendly and attentive service from Griffin, and a table visit from Chef True. Food is fresh & perfectly prepared... More

Roux restaurant in Montgomery is no longer exists. It is now a restaurant called TRUE. (The Chef/owner's last name). The ambiance is great, as well as the food. We had a great experience all around! The waitstaff was beyond helpful and attentive. Everything from the apps to the main course and dessert were incredible. I would definitely recomend this to... More

went there fro my son's 25th birthday on friday 11/9,service was good and food was above average tried chicken and waffles, (not a good dinner selection), the waffle was cold, dry and the syrup would have better if just plain maple instead of a cinnamon concoction, my wife's filet was above average, my son's bouilbousse was excellent and by far... Stopped by for Sunday brunch on our way through Montgomery. Nearly didn't find it since the name on the building is "True" though it shows up in Tripadvisor as "Roux". Had a very nice brunch, served by very friendly staff even at 2 minutes to closing the brunch seating. Would have loved to be able to sit and sip champagne... More

I wanted to eat somewhere good while passing through Montgomery, and chose Roux because it is part of the AA Dining program. It was a great choice. I went towards the end of lunch and there weren't many people, but the staff were nice, the atmosphere fancy but comfortable, and the food tasty. Their small cooler (the one with all... More
