we ordered a cake from here for a baby shower...we could barely cut thru it...it was so dense...something went very, very wrong...it was extremely dry...such a shame for a cake from a bakery...walmart wouldve been better and cheaper :(

Average food. Got take out. Guy at register added his own tip on the ticket after we had left! For a couple of sandwiches that we picked up at the counter. Good thing that we check our account!!

Order the tuna salad deluxe. It comes with tuna, chips, fresh fruit with an original poppy seed glaze, cheese biscuit, and a small cinnamon roll. Obviously, it is full of carbs. However, it is delicious. However, once or twice the cheese biscuit was very hard; too hard to eat. But generally, it is fast and consistent and GOOD.

One of the last family owned bakeries left in the city and still a great lunch spot. HThey sell hmemade goodies to delight every palate!

No one in Montgomery has a better lunch menu. Cannot go wrong with the daily specials. Bakery is outstanding and fresh. Pies, cookies, muffins or cakes. The Strawberry cake is unbelievable!! Better get there before 11:30AM for lunch or you will be waiting.

this place is pretty much a diner with chandeliers. It has delicious food! I had an amazing shrimp salad (with crackers) could have eaten two plates of it! I've also had breakfast there and that was great as well. The service is efficient and friendly; the prices are reasonable and the food is above average.

On vacation in Montgomery with 4 kids to see all the great museums and this restaurant was down the street from the Fitzgerald Museum. Glad we found it. The kids loved all the mini cinnamon rolls, we even took three boxes of baked goods home! Great breakfast and very nice decor.

I just moved to Montgomery and today we had a chance to check out Shashy's: Great home-style cooked food. Very nice open modern atmosphere still with Southern Charm. Prompt, well informed, courteous service. Vegetables were delicious and not overcooked sludge. I've heard some people say this is a great place for local cuisine. Actually, they do it better. They do serve grits, fried green tomatoes, etc. but with such flare and flavor! The fried green tomato eggs benedict is to die for! I've only ever eaten here at breakfast, but it's always delicious!
