Classy ambience, good wine, good food. One of the better restaurants in all of Shanghai and definitely in Xin Tian Di. Not very expensive either.

I went to Ye with colleagues from work. Now, I have to be upfront and state that Chinese food doesn't usually appeal to me, with certain exceptions. Perhaps that's the result of too many bad Chinese deliveries when I lived in New York City.
But this place rocked! The various dumplings -- fried, steamed, shrimp and pork -- were wonderful....

Our last visit to Ye Shanghai in Xintiandi was a sheer catastrophe. We went for their Sunday dim sum brunch with our 8-month-old little daughter. We were given a wooden baby highchair and sat her in it. A few minutes later the chair broke in pieces and our baby fell down on the floor. We were shocked and rushed her...

I recommend the champagne Lunch, set price all you can eat with a glass of champagne in the beautiful location of Xintiandi. its not the easiest area to find but it is well worth it! The food is amazing and I love the atmosphere.
one of the most difficult thing is communication, nobody could explain anything, food is not really amazing as they told us and service is just so so, (if they understand) well it is better if you think twice.
I find that the food is perhaps more to Western tastes or overseas Chinese than local Chinese (I have been there with a number of people from Hong Kong and Singapore who like it but don't recall any Shanghainese who liked it too much - normally they thought it overpriced for what it was though there is some truth to...

This place is located in one of the best areas in Shanghai, a beautiful modern chinese restaurant with very good food and very nice atmosphere, they have a live piano player in the evenings.
We came for Lunch and chose th 98rmb Dim Sum (its all you can eat) although they do have 2 other choices. The service was quick since we were early and not many people had come in yet. The food quality was very good and most importantly, it was authentic. We didn't order anything from the "Hong Kong Style dishes"....

I have visited this restaurant 15 times in the past year. The food and service is consistently good. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced and the dinners are more expensive than lunch but still fairly reasonable. The food is Chinese with some Shanghaiese dishes. The quality, freshness, and flavors of the food is better than average. This is an...

This was our second visit in 18 months months and was very disappointing, especially when the food in Shanghai is generally excellent. It is difficult to find in a nice newly developed area of Shanghai. Nothing seemed to be freshly prepared but was all served at once on stone cold plates. We had been travelling in much more rural China...
