I have dined here three times. The first time I was invited. I returned twice for the views. In winter, don't bother to come. The food is mediocre. The service is OK, but orders seem to be easily mixed up (although manager is very happy to help remedy any such situations). Try to sit on the outdoor decks in summer.

the bar was highly recommended by the lonely planet as the best view on the bund. We were highly disappointed, the setting was quite poor. It was too cold to seat outside so we stayed inside. The windows look dirty and the furniture used are not the standard you can expect from a high end bar.

Rude waiters and slow service, New Heights considered the worst service high end venue in Shanghai. You will probably go once for the view, but to return and get the bad service, you might just go to plenty of other venue on the bund..

We have been here several times and the restaurant is one of our favourite in Shanghai . Astonishing view on the Bund . Good steaks , perfect margarita cocktail , service good and is a people watching place . STONGLY RECOMMENDED

Ordered a Nasi Goreng (Indonesian Fried Rice) as I was looking for something not Western, but not quite Chinese. This was OK but nothing exciting. The cream of mushroom soup was well made, but put too much pepper and basically ruined the soup. This would be a great place for alfresco drinks on the balcony though.

They have a great value lunch menu and the service is much better as the place is quieter. The food is good and in interesting mix of Asian and European. Wine is fairly priced for Shanghai. Great location and views.

New Height is one of the place has great view of the bund. But........... This is possible the worst service restaurant in Shanghai.. the snobbish waiters (dont even know why they are？？) will walking around but ignore you..
