Food was underwhelming. Sauce was watery - pasta was dry - dish underseasoned - artichokes were hard & flavorless. Bleh. Not worth an hour wait.
Went because Trip Advisor had it ranked #1. It certainly proved worthy of its ranking. Were on road trip to go get daughter in college in South Carolina from Texas and Tuscaloosa is a good stopping point. Arrived at 9:30 and service was friendly and food yummy and hot. Good atmosphere and love college town pricing.
Visited last week April 2013. This was a very quaint restaurant with extremely prompt service. The atmosphere was that of a truly authentic Italian restaurant. The Calzone was absolutely the best that I have ever had. Be prepared for no Cocktails though only Beer and Wine is offered. If in the area please give them a try.
My husband and I were traveling trough Tuscaloosa and decided to find a place for early dinner. I love italian so based on tripadvisor decided to try DePalma's. This restaurant surpass any and all expectations. The atmosphere is rustic layback. The service is good. The prices are great. The food is awesome; my husband had a baked pasta and I...

I love, love, love this restaurant! GREAT selection of Italian food, wonderful customer service and just a great place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or just to pop in for some pizza. You can even watch the cooks in the back throwing the pizza dough. So fun!
We visited Tuscaloosa this weekend and ate at DePalmas in downtown on Sunday afternoon. My college son said this place is packed at nights and on weekends but on a late Sunday afternoon we walked right in. The Italian menu choices are plentiful and priced quite appropriately not being too expensive at all. My son and wife both had pasta...

While driving through this beautiful university town we happened upon this restaurant around four in the afternoon. It turn out that that was fortunate for us since we didn't know what a popular restaurant we had stumbled on. My husband and I each ordered a different pasta dish. We were delighted to find that they make their own pasta. It...

This was recommended to us by locals. It's a very small and cozy restaurant. Staff was very attentive, food was excellent, we had a 45 min wait for a table but the waiting area was nice and we didn't mind the wait. Would love to go back!
Wonderful Italian food served in a rustic and unique setting. Menu offers a wide variety of Italian foods; portions are very generous. On a busy night, the restaurant can be a bit noisy, but don't let this stop you from going to DePalma's!
