If you want authentic Caribbean "soda" type food - go to Selvins. Its low-key, terrific atmosphere, and of course outstanding food. The best rice & beans infused with coconut - Selvins knows how to do it right!!! Both of our entres were mouth-watering. We went on a Sunday night, and Selvins is closed Mon - Wed, and unfortunately we were...

Selvin's is exactly what I think of when I picture a Costa Rican low-key restaurant.... great atmosphere, good service, and amazing seafood. We went on a Thursday night so the restaurant was pretty slow and the grill was actually closed (it's only open on the weekends, Fri-Sun), but it didn't limit our options too much. I had the grilled snapper...

This place has been there for a while and keeps its roots. I came like 8 years ago and visited again yesterday and really enjoyed it. This is caribbean food and service, this means prepare to eat well but you will have to wait...caribbean rithm, so you better slow down and enjoy the waiting. Absolutely love the patacones!
Food is good, not great, service nice but slow. Atmosphere is very nice, Caribbean. I'm not sure I will go back

I had decided to tae my brother and a friend out to dinner as a treat, to than them for helping us to move our dogs from the USA...

We heard Selvin's was a must for great local Caribbean food. I had the roasted red snapper and my boyfriend had the Rondon soup-both were delicious! Highly recommend as the best place to try local cooking styles, however we were warned that the service was extremely slow and that was no exaggeration, even by Costa Rican standards. Our waitress was...

Our first day in Punta Uva we went to Selvin's for dinner. It is a great place to eat. Food was very tastey with good size portions. Staff are pretty laid back and take their time, kinda nice when your on holidays...we adopted their pace and took our time for 2 glorious weeks.
