When I visited I got the sushi, as far as I know it's the only place in town to get it. Although it's an Italian restaurant, my meal was really good. The past here is home-made, and the chef is Italian. Great atmosphere as well.

Best food we had on our trip!! Charming atmosphere, waterfront patio. We had lasagna, butternut squash ravioli, & pesto gnocci. All incredibly fresh, gourmet, memorable dishes! Friendly staff. Highly recommended if you're in Puerto Jimenez!
The ravioli with pumpkin fill and butter and rosemary saue was fantastic. 5 very big raviolis, with flavorfull fill, delicate texture and nice sauce. Felt like a little piece of Italy in the middle of Puerto Jimenez.
Salad with palm hearts and sweet corn was ok and refreshing.
The pizza had a good crust, but the sauce needed more flavor...

We loved the relaxed atmosphere here. They serve you your food and they leave you alone to enjoy it. The food itself is delicious, classic Italian - simple with good ingredients - the budget menu is a great deal served with wonderful rosemary bread. I think we went three times in total and we were only in Puerto Jimenez for...

We ended up dining at il giardino 3 times while in puerto jimenez because it was so delicious!! This is not a good place to eat if you are in a rush, but if you want great food and a leisurely evening on the waterfront you will not find a nicer place in puerto jimenez. the homemade pasta and fresh...

Enjoyed the seafood soup full of interesting bits straight from the sea. I dined alone and had wonderful service as the storm whipped by. The margaritas are serious and the location very romantic. Next time I'll bring my husband! For another nice spot, the restaurant next door is lovely and the food not as pricey.
After visiting Costa Rica several times, and particulairy to Puerto Jimenez, we were searching for this lovely place we visited a few times before, the "Il Giardino" restaurant.
It was a small place a few meters of the main road and had a great ambient and whats more important a great kitchen and some great people.
Giulio, Cecillia and their...

Pretty good food, and now with tables right on the sea wall. Watch locals and tourist parade but be aware this is also well traveled by autos and trucks at times. Inside dining as well, and they have rooms to rent some with views right into the mysterious manglar. Be sure to spray on repellent and avoid Dengue which is...

On our last night in PJ we tried Il Giardino. Great menu...everything very fresh and I love the fact that you can sit along the bay and enjoy the sunset, I had the lasagna which was delicious as was the bruschetta and caprese salad. Service was very good.
My wife and I ate here after visiting Corcovado. We heard so many good reviews for this restaurant. Located after the bridge near the water. Had the best octopus salad and brushetta, the wine was good. There portions were generous. The service was excellent and very friendly and left very full after the meal. Definitely must visit this restaurant if...
