We did enjoy the food but the visit turned sour when the receipt came. We ordered a few things and among them were two barbecued kebis. When the bill came I made sure we were charged for the right things and saw 2 charges for 6800 colones=almost $14!!! It es 14 dollars per kebi!!! Total 28!!! I asked the owner... More

A really great place to go when you've grown tired of pollo (chicken) and pescado(fish) casados. Tiny restaurant run by the owner who claims to raise his own sheep. Can't verify this but his lamb is very good anyway, if a bit pricey.

This is by far the best Middle Eastern Restaurant in San Jose Costa Rica even surpassing my previous review on Sisso of Jerusalem in Escazu. The food is totally fresh and home made with an old Lebanese Family recipe. Me and my friend had the vegitarian combination along with a lamb dish and chicken shish kabob. Everything was perfect from... More

I had the delicious slow roasted lamb special with a good salad (although would have preferred greater portion), potato, and rice. The wine, Pinacle de Fakra, was fantastic. Fruit punch excellent - strawberry, orange, pineapple, and more. The atmosphere is intimate and comfortable. Excellent service there too. Owner, Toni Mouakar, is quite charming and pleasant and not at all overbearing.... More

Do not go there! When you get there, you'll notice that the prices are very high, much higher than what the place looks like. The owner/waiter immediately tells you about his goat and that you have to try it. He forgets to mention that a plate runs around $80. I ended up ordering a chicken kebab and my wife just... More

Lamb was slow roasted and delicious. Served with salad, potato and rice. Started diner with appetizers, hummus, goat cheese, and pita wedges. Complimented with wine: Pinacle de Fakra. Very intimate dinner event. Would highly recommend it.

My wife and 2 daughters had just arrived in San Jose, staying nearby at the Christina. To cut a long story short, we were greeted by a big fat guy who is the owner. He seems like a jolly, hospitable man - offering to bring us Meze while we wait for dinner. The usual assorted dips with pita bread. He... More

Hate being ripped-off, the owner wants your money more than wanting you to come back again, never again
