Chez Louise certainly offers a laid back admosphere, and if you enjoy fresh seafood it can't be beat. There is no menu, it is just "seafood" - providing four different seafood dishes to enjoy. They offer two kinds of wine - red and white, and don't take credit cards. We have been there twice over the years and each time... More

Chez Louise is a great option if you are looking for some adventure and a good meal. It's pretty rustic with plastic chairs and tables and lizards and cats running around. But the food itself is pretty tasty. The lobster was delicious and the fish was excellent and fresh. The other stuff that came with the meal was okay. I... More

We wanted to try something off the tahaa resort. We were the only people there for dinner the night we went. The food was fresh and tasty - mix of fresh lobster, Mahi, shrimp, and poison cru with white rice and fresh French bread. We asked for 2 glasses of wine and were given the whole bottle - wine was... We arrived at Chez Louise's dock with out chartered sailboat. She and her brother came out to help us dock. They don't speak much english, but her daughter speaks english. We got along fine with our limited french. There is no menu, Louise fixes whatever the best catch is and serves it all in long bamboo "dishes". We had lobster,... More

I went to Le Taha Resort and Spa in may 2012 for my honeymoon and they recomended this restaurant. It was the worst restaurant I have ever went. It's not a restaurant, it's a polynesian house - Everything was very dirty. The food was not good and the wine was terrible - I cannot drink! It was raining, and it... More

We spent 3 days at the Le Taha'a resortand had read reviews on Chez Louis. We wanted to give it a try, simply as an alternative to dining at the resort every meal (which was always excellent, by the way). We had seen pictures and reviews in advance so we knew what we were getting in to. The one and... More

Chez Louise has a really gross atmosphere and dead bugs inhabit the food and restaurant. Also the service was horrid as well as the food. Dead and alive ants found In our rice, as well as a nearly dead cat under our table

We were staying in the Tahaa Resort and Spa and after a couple of days, we wanted to go for a more local dinner, so,the front desk recommended Chez Louise. We were picked up by the owner himself and his trusted Peugeot (for at least 30 years) and were driven to the restaurant. A lovely garden and a nice deck... More

We read about this hidden gem before going on our trip so we were very excited when we finally arrived in Taha'a. Our concierge at Le Taha'a Resort & Spa were kind enough to arrange the reservation and the free boat shuttle took us to the main island where an older man along with a kid led us to his... More

We arrived to this restaurant and were a little skeptical at first. It looks old and dingy and is not particularly clean. They did not bring us a menu and we were told that our meal would come out in 5 minutes (we had no idea what we would get). The food ended up being fantastic! Lobster and tuna to... More
