Henry's Great Alaskan Restaurant, in Kodiak, Alaska, is the epitome of Alaskan good food and atmosphere. Great fresh fish dishes, great cold beers and friendly staff. The only thing they didnt have on the menu ware ribs, which I thought was a. It odd, but overall it's fab.

I was in Kodiak for a week for work and we dined at Henry's several times throughout the week. The food was consistently fine though nothing to write home about. Henry's is the most popular restaurant in Kodiak -- probably because of the uniformly good, standard fare and fresh seafood. Nothing is cheap in Alaska but Henry's has some reasonably priced items on the menu.

Enjoy a nice lunch at this centrally located bar/restaurant in Kodiak. I enjoyed the ahi tuna sandwich. Nothing fancy, but good.

We were disappointed with the food. It was Alaska, but the only fish available was cod. The scallops were tough. The seafood was expensive, as in all Alaskan restaurants. I can't figure this out, since Alaskans have fish coming out of their ears. The restaurant at the Kodiak Best Western had good halibut and was less expensive.

Have been going to Henry's for years. The food is fine, and there is a huge amount of variety on the menu. Haven't had much seafood there (get enough at home); fish and chips and fish sandwich were good though. Love the reuben sandwich, and they have great salads. Henry's has a kind of upscale bar and grill atmosphere with a more interesting menu than you might expect. We all had the Calamari burger for lunch (grilled not fried) and found it to be delicious. The service was very prompt and friendly. I wil definitely go back.

We've been to Kodiak many times and Henry's is always on our list of places. They have great Alaskan food(especially the Bouillabaise) and a nice atmosphere. We always have a fun time eating at bars. We had great service, food and fun. Always eat there when in town. Ate there twice on our last trip to Kodiak.
