We thought the wait staff and the cooks were amazing! Me and my family were impressed. The cooks were helpful and efficiantly made our meal. The only thing that lacked in our opinion was that there was no breakfast and we were rushed through by the ...I think...owner. Eugene, OR

I first walked in and was horrifically seated by a short woman (I think the owner) who lacked social skills. It was possibly the worst dining experience of my life. Although, the decor was pleasant. The dog tour was bumpy and smelled. The cooks were pleasant and cooked our fish just right. Chicago

Food was outstanding, service was excellent. Overall bill was very reasonable. But I think they forgot to charge us for our drinks. Will have to go back and spend more money next time.

We had gone into Talkeetna for breakfast at the Roadhouse except we couldn't get in and didn't have time to wait as we had a train to catch. Kahitna was open but they don't serve breakfast. We ordered lunch items even though it was only 10:30. Server was very pleasant and efficient. Food was very good. Nicely decorated.

We had one last day in Anchorage before our 9:00 PM flight back to the the lower 49. We decided to rent a car and drive 113 miles to Talkeetna. I ate at this restaurant back in 2001 when it was named Michele's. They sold it to the new owners 3 years ago. My husband and I couldn't resist ordering... More

We stopped for lunch after a flightseeing tour with K2. We had the tomato basil soup and the rice with shrimp (sweet and sour) which kind of reminded us of thai food. Our waitress was very pleasant and did not make us feel like ugly tourists looking for a burger and fries. We were suprised at the quality and type... More

stopped by while on vacation in Alaska and had the most wonderful lunch. Everyone was so friendly and the owners 10 year old son gave us a lot of wonderful information about living in Alaska. He was so delightful.

We stopped here for a beer after doing the sundog sled tours. The sun had come out and they had a lovely deck. We noticed that they had a half price deal on appetizers between 5 and 6pm. We grabbed two; they cost us about eleven dollars all up and it was great food and enough for our dinner. Definitely... More

A first for us - we found the selection of fresh and healthy food options a delight. When first viewed from the road, this place may seem like a bit of a tourist trap but the service was genuinely friendly and the food was a pleasant deviation from the normal deep fried offerings found elsewhere.

Best clam chowder on this earth! Also terrific service. My husband and I were there in August of 2011 and I'm sending my friend and her husband there on their trip in a couple of weeks. Too bad they can't distribute this chowder to the 'lower 48'.
