I have reviewed the restaurant before but this time I went to the pub. This is a real pub with lots of dark wood (not one of these fake franchised operations) and lots of atmosphere. The menu is small but good. I went for the prego and chips that was vey good, they do a peri-peri chicken for R39.00 and... More

The seafood was fresh and the catemba came in 500ml glasses...! The restaurant was very busy, but the service was good. The size of the prawns was exactly what was promised on the menu and I recommend this restaurant.

I went to Parreirinhas hoping to find the best local Portuguese/Mozambican food in town. In some respects this establishment does live up to it's reputation. But it can still do better. The good: Fabulous atmosphere. Warm and friendly staff and patrons. The ok: The Espetada (fillet) was very tasty but was served cold. The prawns were delicious, albeit a little... More

Cold wet autumn Saturday in Jo'burg, where better to have a boozy lunch than Parteirinha? Wonderful ambiance with a crackling fire reflecting off wine bottles lining the walls. Old chandeliers and colonial fans adding to the atmosphere. And what a pleasure to have appropriate Portuguese music in the the background. The service was good, but unfortunately a little distracted by... More

Food is very tasty. Very Portuguese. loved the large prawns and the sauces that accompanied the food. Food is a little pricy but food is more than adquate and you will take home a dogy bag

It's a little hard to find, in a slightly unsightly area, but the restaurant is so quaint and the prawn cakes are excellent. Definitely worth the visit! These are often regarded as the best prawns in jhb.

The food was very good. The chicken and calamari being the outstanding meals of the night. Service was a bit shaky but got better. Nice location.

The food is glorious at this place, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I would recommend the enormous prawns, but I suspect everything is good. Everybody loved their meal.

I've been going here on and off for many years and it is still great. The area is quite downmarket but the restaurant and bar were full on a Tuesday lunch. Prawn cakes are excellent but don't get too many, they are rich and large and you want to save space for your main course. I had 4 kings and... More
