Lovely place to enjoy a sundowner on their wooden deck with hippos in full view! Small curio shop with interesting goodies to buy and a good restaurant for local fare - ostrich etc.

We only spent a few hours having a leisurely meal, but the service was excellent, the food out of this world.

Very relaxing and nice views from the restaurant as well as the chalets. Food is also good! Close to Oudtshoorn. Worth a visit!

I just went for a cup of tea and cake looking out over the dam. A pretty place, worth the trip out of town to see. Huge carp in the dam and (apparently) hippo too, but I didn't see any. But the overall feel is great and the mountains shimmer in the distance.

This place was the highlight of our visit to Oudtshoorn. Definitely worth a visit. Try to stay over if you can. The evening dinner is filled with live natural entertainment.

Great food, Great Location. You can even watch the wild animals as you eat. Friendly staff & sanitary facilities. Highly recommended.

We wished we had made the effort to arrive before it was dark as what little we could see suggested this restaurant was in a beautiful setting overlooking a lake. Dinner was good, servings generous and the atmosphere very nice. We could have sat outside but it had started to rain so ended up inside.

What an outstanding location, eating dinner watching hippos in the lake and elephants returning back from a safari trip. The food was very good quality and the waiter, he was most helpful. A thoroughly enjoyable meal experience. Would highly recommend a visit.

We will always have the memory of Buffelsdrift in our memory.Sitting on the deck witth the sun set and a beautiful view of the lake in front of us . The food though not great was tasty and more than adequate. on the whole a wonderfull experience.
