Excellent food beautifully presented, vegetables & salads from their own organic gardens. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Lovely views.
Visited a while ago, amazing setting. Bountiful surroundings, the general manager made us feel very comfortable! Food was good, and very healthy! Loved the table settings..
I only made it to Longridge once (since we moved on from the area) but I would have wanted to go every single day.
I have honestly never in my entire life had salad this good (and I'm usually not that huge a fan): fresh, crisp and so full of flavour - I'm sure we don't even know salad like...

This was my first visit to the Eikendal estate which the Longridge farmhouse restaurant dominates. Can you have a formal 'farmhouse restaurant'? Longridge doesn't have the casual flair of Ken Robertson's '49 Winery Road'; it is more studied, more indicative of haute cuisine. This is one of our favorite adresses, we had dinner there 3 times this holiday (also valentines day: 4 courses 250 Rand + 1 glass bubbles). Special place is the long table in front of the window overlooking the valley and the evening lights of Cape Town. Excellent service, good food, reasonable prices. Recept for unforgettable evening.

My properly poached egg, set on a bed of courgettes and rosti and topped with...

Had a lovely Sunday lunch. The Gnocchi were delicious, the Longridge 2008 Chardonnay was very good, and Freedom was very attentive. Will definitely go back,
we loved this place. its just wonderful to view the sundown from their terrace. food is great but the quality does vary - we went there twice. but we will definately stop by again at our next vacation.
This is a winery restaurant, just off R44 between Somerset West and Stellenbosch. Not as classy as bigger names, but comfortable with a nice verandah and well worth the trip. The winery produces excellent quality wines at very reasonable prices, in the restaurant priced about 50% higher than the cellar door price, they also will allow to bring your own...
