Oviedo makes one feel like one in Spain: the menu, atmosphere, and wait staff is reminiscent of Spain. While it is mainly a seafood restaurant, Oviedo offers quite a few meat and chicken options. We started with baby calamari and wild mushroon omelette and continued with sole and cod. Both fresh and tasty, the sole filet was unlike any I... More

Oviedo is the place to go for seafood and pasta. It seemed to be more locals than tourists when we were there and that's what I loved about it. The beef in Argentina is fantastic, but getting a break from it and finding a place that did seafood well was a relief! Check my blog for a full review on... More

A very nice restaurant 2 blocks away from busy Santa Fe. A nice collections of wines. You should try their croquettes as a starter. As a main i had the lamb.

We booked ahead for 8 pm dinner. When we arrived we were the only ones there. Slowly, others started arriving. By the time we finished, the locals were coming in one after another in groups of 2-6. If the well-dressed locals greet management with hugs and kisses, then you know this a good restaurant. Our food was excellent, service was... More

The food was delicious, the service was very good, and the wine selection was fine. Excellent selection. Would love to be able to eat there all the time.

Having seen the reviews on Oviedo, some very good, some very negative, I decided to go as for a month I was staying nearby and I saw a full house nearly every night. The place looks classy indeed, and many of the diners are local celebraties. Fine, but now the food. I ordered patagonian lamb, one of the only five... More

We had lunch at Oviedo on a saturday. It is definetely my favourite place in Bs Aires. The food is great: we shared a salad as starter and then had seafood. It is great value: main dishes around 110 pesos and salads for 60 pesos. Nice wine list. Just loved. Service was very attentive. Our glasses were never empty. One of... More

An owner of a wine shop advised us to visit this retaurant whihc according to her was worthwhile. We do not know if we were tired or she had good luck. In Buenoa Aires people does not dine early. Almost all restaurants open at 8.pm and people starte to come in at 9 to 9.30. We had an appointment at... More

This is an observation on restaurant service rather than the food which was OK. By accident the waiter knocked a full glass of wine (luckily white) all over me. Shirt soaked, pants soaked, tablecloth dripping. The waiter brought half a dozen napkins to help me dry off (didn't work). We finished the meal quickly as I was getting damp and... More
