This is one of the jewels in BA, note that there are 2 one in front of the other (one is pasta and the other more diverse menu) This is for the more diverse menu. I had the bife de chorizo (of course I'm in Argentina, beef is what for dinner), my co-workers had the raviolis, my god!!!!! the beef... More

Who knew that Buenos Aires had such fantastic Italian food? Piegari is a ritzy Italian restaurant in the Recova complex at the edge of the Recoleta neighbourhood. The place was full of wealthy locals, theatregoers, businesspeople, and a smattering of tourists. Because we were in a bit of a rush, my friend and I skipped antipasto and just ordered half-portion... More

We were a group of 9 going out for the BA FoodWeek. The concept is a set price of 169 pesos for a full meal, usually in some of the best restaurants of BA. We ended up to Piegari because no other restaurants were available. And suddenly it made sense : the food is just plain uninteresting, clearly below what... More

Probably my favorite restaurant in Buenos Aires. Carla is wonderful and try to get a table with Alberto. Italian, but the parrilla is very good. The rissotto is and bife de champinion are out of this world and usually a half order is more than enough. Great wine selection.

This is probably one of my favorite restaurants in Buenos Aires. The location and the service are great. The food is amazing. Please be aware of the huge portions. All the pastas are to share. Otherwise, order a half a portion (which is still a huge portion). Yes, it is a little pricey but you are dining in one of... More

Portions are HUGE - seriously, even for a North American, they are huge. Risotto is amazing - so many kinds. They are very accommodating too to food restrictions and allergies. Reservations are required. Wine list is great. Place is pricey but portions are HUGE!

Wonderful ambience & setting. Service was exceptional, as wel was our food. Portions were large & well prepard & presented. We shared the fried zucchini & sauted portebella mushrooms - both deliscious. My main course was the lomo steak with mushroom sauce & cream potatoes. My steak was perfectly cooked & very tendor. For dessert i had creppes filled with... More

After so much steak, we were in teh mood for Italian. BA has so many Italian imigrants, we knew it woudl be good. The food is a little different than US Italian food and more like food you would find in Italy. Less tomato sauce on everything. This section of restaurants all looked wonderful but are gald we chose Piegari.... More

Our first dinner in Argentina and we actually decided to go for Italian food. We had a long night and day of travelling and sightseeing and wanted to stay local so upon the recommendation of our concierge, we walked over to the Piegari just a block away from the hotel. We were not disappointed. We ordered two pastas, a penne... More

Travelling on a group tour we escaped one night and found this lovely restaurant. The staff were great and the food was magnificent. The Australian Dollar is strong currently and made this a very affordable restaurant. The wine menu was also very good.
