You will have to search for it....you may have to wait for a seat...but the rewards will be great! This is arguably, the best restaurant in the Greater Phoenix area. Only so because the owner has two more outstanding eateries a half mile up the street. While both are excellent, I can't give up Dick's Hideaway. It is a very... More

We stopped in before our flight out of PHX. It is a hard to find place that a friend told me about. There is no sign on the door or building. It is right next to a grocery store with wood framed, glass door that says "Unattended children will be given espresso and a free kitten". It is a very... More

We heard this place was good, but hard to find. Its incredibly hard to find. I was standing right in front of it and still didn't know it was there. After entering and trying to find something suitable for our kids to eat (very very spicy food), it's clear they don't want to be found. The waitor/bartender was less than... More

When the only sign is "additional parking in the rear" you found it! One of the best breakfasts(new mexico style) I've ever had. everyone loved it even the wusses who just had pancakes. lots of food and excellent service. You get what you pay for. only real recommendation other than GO is go during the week they have people out... More

And we do! We found it by word of mouth - I don't think we would have found it any other way ... there's no sign - just a big wooden door with a small window. Inside it's small but lively. You may not always get a seat but if you do it's worth it. This place focuses on New... More

You won't find this place unless someone recommends it to you and you really know where to look. I guess that is all part of its charm. It is tucked away and has just a small, hard to read name on the door. Once inside, its cozy cramped interior adds to the ambience. Sitting at the counter is best. You... More

Dicks is tucked away in a small strip of stores. The name of the restaurant isn't posted outside, so just use the street address to find it. We were lucky to get there fairly early (6:00 pm). They don't take reservations and the place is small. We walked right in and had a great booth with cozy pillows overlooking the... More

We go here once in a while when one of our friends wants to meet there. I have never thought the food was great, the place has (strange) servers, tight space. Prices are higher than they ought to be and the wait is far too long. That being said, there is nothing terrible, just not incredible. Sorry friends. Skip it,... More

We ate here twice and enjoyed the food as well as the experience. The food was excellent and we had great service both times. I really think you should try and find this hide away. You will not be sorry you made the effort. We will definitely return when in Phoenix.

New Mexico cuisine is based on chilis and Dick's Hideway uses them liberally. Their red chili sauce is extremely rich and tasty, and spicy hot. Their green chili sauce is less exciting. We went for Sunday breakfast and the place was very popular, so we sat at the large "communal" table, which still had plenty of seats left. Breakfast options... More
