I stumbled across this place with a friend in the height of retailing heaven. I left with a full stomach and a warm heart. Have returned since but unfortunately due to high demand there was no more turkey for the sandwich. I think we exhausted Carlingford!! We will return when Dan and the Stonewall are rebuilt in the new year!!... More

Bustling wee cafe - had the club sandwich, tried the curried parsnip soup, drank the late. A lively and tasty spot, only problem is my friend has fallen in love with Dan and his impeccable lattes....

Just returned from a 2 night stay in Carlingford and had to write a review on this great little cafe. On arrival, Patricia welcomed us. The Cafe was very busy, lots of locals in having lunch and what a lovely friendly atmosphere. We went for their BLT sandwiches, which were the best I have ever tasted! The coffee was also... More

I set out to Carlingford, looking forward to my usual coffee and cake in Food For Thought. I was disappointed to find FFT so busy that there was no hope of getting a table any time soon. I traipsed down the road, begrudgingly prepared to give my custom to the next cafe/ restaurant I saw. I went in to Dan's... More

There were 7 in our group so we had to split up to 2 tables - this cafe is always busy, We have visited here many times over the summer and never had disappointing food. Dan is the owner and very friendly and hospitable. We had to wait on our "brunch" style bagels/sodas so he made sure we had loads... More

Heard people raving about this place so decided to give it a go when I visited Carlingford. The decor is typical of a village café with a few quirky touches. The hot chocolate was pretty good but the coffee was awful! I watched one of the waitress' make my "cappuccino" by simply pressing a button on a machine which was... More

Great staff, great food and coffee. The owner (Dan) is always cheerful and willing to chat no matter how busy. High recommend at any time of day.
