We got there by accident. Until then, we didn't like Myanmar food, and therefore wanted to try a vegetarian restaurant, in particular the "Be kind to animals" mentioned by the Lonely Planet. This one was closed, so we were left with the option of trying "Yar Pyi" which at first seemed like a copycat. Yar Pyi literally made us change... More

This was our second favorite restaurant in Bagan. Better than the guide book's top recommendation. Nice family run place.

We ate here the night after eating at the moon which was also very good. Lovely family run place, feel very lucky to have been able to eat here.

Excellent food and service. The owner didn't talk so much about his daughters and education. Maybe they have seen trip advisor reviews!! Worth trying though not much atmosphere, good for a quick lunch

Like other reviewers we were also subjected to the stories of the family saving up to put daughters through university and given the broad hint for tips. We were shown the (very unsubtle) tip jar which features a smiley face on one side and a note on the other which says something along the lines of "tip me to keep... More

Enjoyed a wonderfull lunch in this nice and clean place. Kind and hardworking family who believes in education for their children instead of the fast earned money from selling postcards to tourists.

Our favourite meal was an eggplant curry with stir-fried vegetables. Nice, tasty combination! Lovely people, serving you with dedication. However…slightly uncomfortable moment came when we were told similar, long and confusing family story (please refer to previous review from Tapoetapoe ). But …if you purely come here for a great meal and being aware of a circulating story, you should... More

We only wanted a light lunch but were delighted with what was served. The attentive, pleasant nature of the owners only enhanced the experience. Great value. Best tomato salad ever.

Opposite of the moon, this restaurant is similar inviting. The restaurant is run by a family and the whole atmosphere and conversations with the owner, daughters, etc. adds a very personal touch. While the menu-list is already extensive, extra-wishes will be fulfilled as far as possible.

We enjoyed the food very much. Enjoyed even more meeting owner, mother, daughters and youngest son. Listening to the story of the owners quest to educate his daughters. The visit with them added a little of a personal touch to our Burma experience.
