Close to our hotel we were lured into The Moon because of their great signage. Daily specials didn't disappoint from the papaya lime shake to the tamirand curry. Staff attentive but not in your face. First choice for us in Myanmar and Bagan.

Good value vegetarian food and friendly host. Try the tomato and groundnuts and the chappatti stuffed vegetable curry.
We had been told by our friends to visit The Moon and were glad it was just a short walk away from where we stayed. Really good food, would love to go back one day. Lovely setting and really nice staff.

Excellent food, very helpful staff in a lovely setting. Do try the rum sour.. One of the waiters changed money, found us a taxi, tours etc. Well worth a visit and very cheap
Right near Tharabar Gate, this hotel has the kind of atmosphere one goes to SE Asia to experience. A nice selection of veggie options. The hotel's motto is "Be kind to animals - and don't eat them!"
We ate one evening at the Moon. The food was good but certainly not as nice as described in some of the reviews. We had a curry which lacked flavour. The brown rice was nice. On the positive side it has a nice atmosphere and the staff was very welcoming.
The place is fairly anonymous but the food is great. During the hot season, a bit hot as it is an open restaurant. But well worth going for a meal
Stopped for Lunch at The Moon Vegetarian Restaurant.
I ordered a Fruit Pancake. When it arrived the pancake was really thin and the fruit was scimped. Had a lime soda which was overpriced in fact all the food was. Just trading on being mentioned in lonely planet. Try instead San Thi Dar on the road to new Began. Simple cheap...
