We went to this place for the Burmese dishes but were surprised be the (free) excellent, freshly baked French bread. They also have Mandalay Ale, one of Burma's nicest brews.

A family owned restaurant, the owner has more of fifteen years of experience working in local hotels. Burmese and French food. Very friendly atmosphere, clean and welcoming. We went back three times during our four days stay in Bagan.

The restaurant is catered for the tourist as it is overpriced for the locals and the menu features western favorites like complimentary (and excellent) french style baguette and chocolate fondant. This is a relatively new place, started by a chef with a lot of experience at other high-end hotels in the region. The food was excellent. Presentation was superb. I highly recommend a visit.
