A truly French moment! I feel like I’m in a bistro in Paris. I had breakfast there this morning. I had the gruyere and ham omelet… delectable. The orange juice is fab and the lattes creamy and delish. I have always liked the service. We used to go there for lunch when my office was closer and that was also... More

Love everything about this place. Food is excellent, decor is charming and homey. The breakfasts are my very favorite here, but I have been for lunch as well, and was not disappointed. I had the grilled tuna sandwich and was pleasantly surprised with the beautifully cooked piece of tuna with fresh provencal type of veggies in it. I'll be back... More

I happened upon this place when I was in Berkeley for a festival and learned they had a French woman working there. Just out of my second year in French class, I wanted to have her as my waitress and she was amazing in speaking to me with patience. The food here is great and you get HUGE servings for... More

I went on a Monday for an early lunch. I always love breakfast for lunch or dinner. Sevice was prompt, courteous, and professional - a welcome experience. I had the brioche French toast - highly recommended. My two fellow guests enjoyed their food as well. It is easy to make brunch greasy and mundane. As my title suggests La Note... More

We were lucky... Sat. 10 am... 15 min wait.... OMG .... the food is GREAT! I am not even a breakfast person, but what is there to eat at 10am on a Sat morning. The place have the feel of Provence and the waitress with her European accent.... love, love, love... We tried everything our fellow yelpers recommended and all... More

Four of us enjoyed dinner on a Saturday evening. We have eaten here twice previously but not for at least a year. Everyone enjoyed their dinner choices. I had the baked chicken with mushrooms and my wife had the pastry enclosed shellfish. Both were excellent as was the French Sauvignon Blanc (Pays d'Oc). This is a busy restaurant and can... More

When I discovered La Note, I really liked it. It was friendly, the foo9d good, the atmosphere casual, but ... nice. Second time, it was still nice... not exceptional, but nice. Then, I went back with a friend to celebrate her birthday: the service was rude, the food, just OK. The final time, and last time, on my birthday, we... More

A short walk from the Berkeley City Club (2 blocks) brought us to this wonderful restaurant for breakfast. French Provencale is the theme for this lovely breakfast cafe. I ordered the Oeufs Lucas which is scrambled eggs, a little tarragon, butter and wonderfully blended in with goat cheese. This served with baked tomatoes and herbs, and with a wonderful Mergue...
