The tuna sandwich here cannot be beat! I order it with the works, which means chopped onions, peppers and tomatoes. They offer cheese, which I pass on. The roll is perfect and the price is right. They also have at least 5-6 other kinds of meat sandwiches, but I can't give up the tuna. They have chips and soda. Simple... More

Giamela's on Los Feliz Blvd. did a fantastic job of serving our large group (30) pizza and salad! They told us that they could have the 9 pizzzas and salds prepared in one hour and completed the job in less time!! The one topping pizzas were very good and the salads were fresh and excellent! Great service!

This is a dive of dives. For many years it didn't even have a sign, it was a broken frame of a sign with nothing in it, and all of their business came from word of mouth. Looks like a little red house with a couple picnic tables on the patio. Even though it's now quite a drive for me... More

It's been a long time since I last visited Giamela's. Their pepper steak sub was a standout. I just tried it again. Nothing has changed...it's still the best. It's not fancy, just sauted steak heaped in a soft loaf the size of a submarine and loaded with chopped tomatoes, onions and pickles. Tempted to try the pastrami sub, which has... More

My daughter and I read the reviews and after touring Warner Brothers we were hungry. The outside of Giamela's is not so appealing and the inside not so much either but we decided to go for it. When in California....They have a very limited grinder menu but what they do is just amazing! They have two sizes. My daughter ordered... More

Love their sandwiches. Perfect little hole in the wall, they load up your sandwich with pickles and onions....

Giamela's Is The Best!! Period!!! My Family Has Been Going To Giamela's Forever (30+ Years) And It Seems To Improve With Age. The City Made Them Buy A New Sign A Few Years Ago, But They Didn't Need It! Everybody Knows Giamela's! I Want To Buy That Old Cast Iron Pepper Steak Pan!!

They have some of the best true Sub-sandwiches. IT is a tiny little shop, so there is always people waiting to get in. Both for lunch and dinner (so you know it is good). The small sandwiche (which really aren't small in comparison to chains) runs about 4.00 and 5.00 for the large sandwich. Pepper Steak, Italian Cold Cuts they... More
