I had fish and chips to go, but wished I had stayed and enjoyed the patio area. Next time I visit, I will definitely stay. The fish was delicious and very large portion. The restaurant was busy (on a weekend) but had a very friendly vibe to it. I would feel comfortable dining here alone. I often eat solo, so... More

The 'Brit' is our local pub and go there often. We generally go on a Friday night when there is music. It's not so big, and often gets filled up. We generally have the fish and chips which we find to be consistently good. Can't comment on the other food on offer. The service is good and very friendly. If... More

We got food to go - the burgers were good, the fried zucchini SUPER greasy. Tried to come with a party of six and were told "I'm sure there is another restaurant in the village that can accommodate you." Weird. So I guess they can't do big groups. PS: we did not stumble in, sandy wet and barefoot. This was... More

Very nice atmosphere; food is terrific. Fifteen of us had lunch there today. Service was excellent and the waitress was very cheerful. No prob at all with separate checks. The owner paid our group special attention. I think every one of us in the group would love to go back!! It's a January day today, but the sun was bright,... More

The original Brit is in Aptos, but we love the fish and chips so much we're willing to do the drive. Well now that there's a branch in our backyard, yippee! We're there all the time. We like this location because its so close to the beach, the outside seating gives a good view of the ocean. Outside is also... More

We had heard great things about this place so we finally tried it out. My fish and chips were greasy and soggy. Kind of tasteless too. We knew as soon as we tasted our food that we'd never go back. Too bad too, they have a good reputation.

We went to this restaurant a few nights ago. We both ordered the fish and chips. My wife ordered 1 piece of fish and I ordered two. We had a very nice, attentive waitress, but when our food arrived my order only had one piece of fish. After telling her, she apologized and put in another order. As it turned... More

As a British ex-pat living in the Monterey Bay area, I come here periodically for a dose of bangers and mash, a pie or a pastie. Good honest food, a nice selection of beers on tap, and an attractive location next to the beach and village (although the patio is a bit of a disappointment). Now if they only had... More

Four of us had Saturday breakfast here. The eggs/omelets were cooked to perfection, potatoes were amazing, coffee kept coming. Excellent service too.

Decided to give this location a go because its in the Village. Took some out of town guests here and though the portions were huge (a selling factor for some folks), the amount of grease in the "Fish & Chips" just didn't sit well with me. The outside patio is tiny. We were there on a Saturday night and the... More
