We ate at the Flying Fish Grill during a recent trip to Carmel. This place was recommended to us, and so although we were told we'd have to wait over an hour for a table, we decided to do it. We ordered the California Tower for an appetizer and the almond-crusted sea bass for a main course.
I can honestly...

We were reading the menu posted outside when two ladies exited the restaurant and said, "it's great." Then a couple came out and said, "you won't be sorry." We returned the night before and it was fabulous. The wife had seared ahi and I had the local salmon. What a treat!
Nice family run place that has good fish plates but nothing to yell about. The salmon was a bit dry and not as flavorful as I can cook at home using supermarket bought salmon. The almond sea bass was moist and the portion was generous but again not a bite by bite party in your mouth type of seafood that...

This place is amazing. We greatly enjoyed all we ordered. From the ginger chips and salsa (free) to the appetizers, to the sake, to our fabulous mains and the dessert. And our waitress was great. And the decor is cool. Hope I'll make it back!
Wonderful service, good fresh seafood. Private booths. Artichoke appetizer was excellent. We had the fish stew for 2 which was good.

Once we got in the door, we waited, and waited, and waited (for close to 5 minutes), and the guy whom...

The food is excellent and the service top notch. The ahi is highly recommended, as are the calamari starter and California tower. Even the complimentary fried wonton wrappers were tasty.
Our party has thirsty people who drink a lot of water, but the attentive staff keeps the glasses filled at all times.
They were fully booked when we got there...

The innkeeper at Briarwood Inn in Carmel recommended this restaurant to us. It was excellent in every way. My husband had the Ahi Tuna and I had the Sea Bass. Wow, awesome! The waiters and waitresses were top notch.
Ate here with my wife on our recent visit to Carmel.
We had booked the previous evening and so on arrival we were immediately shown to our table.
The service and food were both excellent. Our waiter showed a genuine interest in his job and was attentive but not unduly intrusive.
We shared an excellent Calamari starter and then had...
