Description: For Centuries the English Inn has earned a great reputation for Friendly faces, cozy rooms and cheery firesides. As soon as guests come to the Inn, the charming host and hostesses run to greet them. In front of a crackling fire one can partake of good hearty fare - the tankard is always full - the spit hung with roasting beefs - and a table heaped with sweets and such. The Inn keepers of the Summit House were inspired by the custom to create a hospitable place where friends could meet to eat, drink and delight in the views of North Orange County's countryside. To one and all, welcome!

This is a special occasion type of place, but the food is superior to most restaurants featuring views and outside seating. The lamb shanks must come from the world's largest sheep! The salads have incredible fresh and tasty greens with well balanced dressings. The medley of dessert sorbets are excellent. The young women door greeters dressed in red velvet Frenchmaid... More

Great happy hour, piano bar sets a nice tone for a fun night. Good food, wonderful service, beautiful view. Defiantly date night worthy or a fun girls night in the bar. Everything we've ever ordered has been wonderful. Order the cream corn, the best ever.

This place has an outstanding location... Very nice atmosphere however, the are way overpriced. The will nickel and dime you to death. I have no problem spending money. I expect to drop a couple hundred at a nice restaurant but the food here isn't worth it. Even a coke is five bucks and they give u a little 8 ounce... More

Went for lunch on a Friday with a party of four. Total experience was wonderful from the reception to the wait staff to the buser. Two of us had the price fixe lunches, Osso bucco and prime rib. What a deal for the 3 course lunch at $25. The seafood chowder was flavorful and hearty, the house salad perfectly seasoned.... More

While visiting family in southern California this place was recommended to us to celebrate my birthday. Three words...IT WAS AMAZING! When my grandmother made the booking and told them we were visiting from overseas and it was a for a birthday we were given a great table with views out over the city. The waitress was friendly and efficient, the... More

Everything here is excellent: the drinks, the wine selection, the menu, the view and the service. Dining here is like dining in the great noble houses of Europe. Every attention is paid to make you feel like an aristocrat patronizing the local manor house.

Almost everything is drowned in butter - don't go here if you are on a strict diet but it is a place to indulge your senses. Amazing seasonal decorations. Incomparable view. Very busy, and long wait times.

Our kids wanted to take us someplace special and local to celebrate a new baby.... and Summit House in Fullerton Perched on top of the Fullerton Hills with a classic European ambiance, the great prime rib, attentive staff and a view in every room (we were in the smaller cozy room) was a very special time. We never had an... More

Summit House never disappoints. Love the patio and tavern menu, but you will have a wonderful meal in the main room also. Recommend the John Dory and the Summit House Salad - what a treat. Never have a bad meal and it is a great place for an occasion.

We went here with family for a child-free evening of elegant dining. We can not say enough about the quality of the bar, the quality and presentation of the meal, and the atmosphere. Though it is pricey, the experience and food are worth it. Great place for special occasions; there was a wedding reception in a neighboring hall, but the... More
