This us a run down coffee shop with so so coffee. The cashier kept shooing flies away as she got our pastry. The floor was dirty and the tables were not much better. There are much nicer coffee shops in town with better pastries.

Discovered this cafe on a trip to Santa Cruz and thought I would suggest it as a great place to stop in a stunning little town . Staff very friendly and helpful .
This place has been here for many years, and it's the best place to find locals hanging out. The coffee's excellent - the soy lattes are the best around, there are wonderful sandwiches and salads. The servers are all locals - often it's Max himself behind the counter, and there is always wonderful art on the walls by local artists....
