They use to be located near our house and their food was amazing. Relocated downtown and everything is at best OK with poor service. Our office is located just a block away and we eat out 15+ times per week so we really want them to be a success but they are continuing to fail. Just got back from lunch... More

Still had $$$ left on a gift card, so we tried again, with family from out of town. Unfortunately, it was St. Pat's Day, though we went "early" (6 PM) before a show at Hutchins St. Square. There were several tables on arrival, none on departure. Food was OK, lukewarm like last time. Service was marginal; one meal didn't come... More

Nothing ruins a great meal like bad service. Unfortunately that's the case for this place. When your meal is wrong 3 times and by the time it was straightened out all the other patrons that sat down when you did are gone. Furthermore, the guests you came with already have eaten, they could no longer politely sit and wait to... More

I read here how good the food was (and was told by locals it is excellent). We walked in Saturday night around 7:00 PM, the noise level was through the roof, the tables were about as small as a night stand. We had called ahead and were told there was seating available at tables for two in the bar area... More

This is a great place for some wonderful Mexican dishes you won't find any place else! Innovative and delicious, and a must do!

Try any of the fruit infused tequilas at the bar - or have the friendly bartender Greg make a special drink for you - we had mango and chili infused tequila - delicious! Also had the guacamole made table side (lovely touch!) as an appetizer and an ancho chili stuffed with filet mignon and goat cheese for dinner, it was... More

Great place for authentic and creative Mexican food. We stopped for lunch and had the table side guac!!! Awesome! I had a carne asada burrito which was delicious and wife had a stuffed peeper. BEautiful and fun setting. We met Reuben and he is a genuinely nice person who cares about his customers. This is a must in Lodi!

Owner and Chef, Rubin, is creative in his dishes, presentations, and the prices are very reasonable. Our very favorite is the chef's sampler and the filet mignon. Wonderful!

They've move to a much larger spot on Oak St., in the heart of the downtown area. The same unique menu of Mexican dishes, some standard fare, but also many unusual items, all very nicely presented. Their made-at-tableside guacamole is a treat. The decor is very bright, and spare. There is no acoustic modulating decoration, such as drapes, tapestries, etc.... More

A family run restaurant. Rubin is an innovative chef who prepares excellent entrees that are different from the usual beans, rice, and enchiladas meals. You can get the usual foods as well, but you do have the option of trying other entrees that have a Mexican bent.
