Staying at Stanford Inn is probably the best way to enjoy the delicious dishes available at The Ravens Restaurant. That way breakfast, tea and dinner are part of the daily experience. My non-vegetarian husband enjoyed the food as much as I, a vegetarian did. I am also gluten-free and delicious dishes were prepared to accommodate my needs. The restaurant is... More

We were traveling w/our border collie and since we were not allowed to leave her in our room unattended, we needed a dog-friendly place for dinner with another couple. Raven's has a very nice, indoor lobby area for diners with dogs. Nothing second class about it - near the fireplace and a cute little bar. So that was a huge... More

I have been here a few times and it is overall pretty good, but hit or miss sometimes. Great view. Nice atmosphere. The last time I took my wife and a couple friends there, the service was lacking a bit. I don't want to get my waiter in trouble, but we didn't feel welcomed and just felt kind of ignored.... More

Had been here before; had great service; and great food. This time around, food was still delicious - always impressed with what they do. However, this time, our service was terrible - for such an expensive restaurant in such a small town. Wait time to even get drinks was long; waiter didn't apologize for the wait. Each time he came... Each year while visiting the Stanford Inn, we look forward to our complementary breakfast at the Raven's Restaurant. While not a vegan, or even a diehard vegetarian, we thoroughly enjoy the delights of our choices off the breakfast menu! We also enjoy sitting at the bar and ordering something to split from the dinner menu! The raviolis are a always... More

Beautiful dining room...interesting choices. Perhaps we choose wrong:(. Can heartily recommend the inventive and exquisite kale salad...the pizzetta, not at all. The mushoom sandwich came with interesting sides but the dish itself got boring pretty quickly. Yet, the tofu appetizer was a treat. So, basically a very mixed experience. Probably would return...and would choose differently! Kale salad was a definite... More

I love all food so I was happy with our food choices, but I would love if they offered seafood at least. Otherwise it was a nice restaurant, very clean, beautiful scenery and great tasting vegan food.

The portabello benedict and the citrus polenta breakfast were very good. I enjoyed their "Cuban night" meal as well. Wednesday is currently their international theme night. The nutritionist and kitchen overseer came around to chat with diners during dinner. He was very informative and helpful in giving tips on moving towards healthier eating - without being sanctimonious or pushy.

Whether you eat meat or not, you'll love this fine dining restaurant with a view. The food will be a warm, hearty, yet healthy welcome break from burgers and fries along a journey down or up hwy 1. Good wine, cocktails and desserts that blew me away! Creme Brulee? Yay!
