Beer, burgers, fries, peanuts, pool, sports, neighborhood, this is the kind of place everyone should visit at least once.

I'm not sure why this place is so popular because it is just an average place. The parking is challenging. And the food is very greasy. My boyfriend and I shared their fish and chips and tri tip sandwich. The trip tip was tough. The fish and chis were very greasy. We also ordered a side of sweet potato fries... More

Burgers are outstanding, and obviously the deviled eggs are top-notch. Enjoy a beer in the beer garden outside. Sometimes crowded with kids and their respective sports teams celebrating but otherwise a very neighborhood-type place - friendly locals grabbing a bite with their families after work. Always takes a bit since they make everything fresh. Besides the burgers, I've also had... More

Their devilled eggs are unrivaled and worth making a special trip for! I've never found them elsewhere either!

The place has good food. Price seems a tad high. But, the food is good. A definite thumbs up. Have only been there for lunch. Brisket is great. Burgers are decent. Sweet Potato fries are better than most. They have one of those fancy Coke dispensing machines: great for variety, bad for speed. Actually has some off-street parking in the... More

I vomited because of one of their burgers. It was good, yes, but it was.... no.... :l I haven't returned since.

One of several Stanford hangouts--off campus. Great burgers, good pizza . It is fun, noisy, and filling.

The Dutch Goose is a local staple for Stanford University students. The "Goose" as locals call it, has been open for decades and it looks like it inside. The decor is plain, but full of history. The tables and walls inside are full of carved intials and it adds to the ambience of the greasy spoon atmosphere. The burgers are... More

I've been to the Dutch Goose several times. I actually like the food - although the deviled eggs are really strange. The issue I have is the very mixed vibe - sort of dive, but kids birthdays, sports on TV, beer garden, wine on tap, 10 high end beers, etc. It is a novel place with pretty good sandwiches. I... More
