Best food, cooked perfectly, friendly atmosphere. This my go-to place when I am looking for a great meal or to entertain. The service is top quality and very relaxed. I have had many meals there and have never been disappointed.

Zahirs has been around for a number of years and has always been good. But now it is excellent. It is in a new location, Main Street, in Milpitas. We went there Friday night, May 24th with longtime friends. The atmosphere is one of upscale sophistication. The tables are set so that you can have a private conversation and the... More

Milpitas has been in need of a fine dining establishment – and when I heard about this restaurant, I thought I would give it a try. We arrived in time for Happy Hour, which should be renamed “Not So Happy Hour” with only offering $1 off on drinks in the cramped bar. An order of average Buffalo Wings, served with... More

Food was okay, but nothing special, the decor was dated and service average. We had a set menu and I think the staff knew they were not going to Make much money out of us.

It was actually quite pleasant. But feels a bit like a banquet room. WIne list is limited and food selections lack much creativity. Service was exceptionally pleasant and Zahir himself was good company as I was the last pweson in the restaurant and he sat and chatted with me about his quite interesting life.

Plucked this place out of Yelp and was thoroughly pleased. Service and food were quite good. Dining room was quiet (albeit not very full). They were out of several beers that were on the menu but no big problem. I had the pasta and artichokes which was light and fresh. Nice place for a business dinner.

New location (i think about a year or so) but still good quality food, they relocated from the old location on Calaveras (which is now the Black Bear Diner). Of the three locations that they have been in believe the last location on Calaveras had the best ambiance and layout. The new location now on main street is very open... More

In a former all- you- can eat space, Zahir's has a boring layout in a nondescript boxy space. The table linens and settings are all very good, and the menu has a lot of good choices. Those are the first impressions. Then, one bite of the food and - wow, SCORE! One of the best Parmesan Sole dishes in memory,... More

As others have mentioned, this is a new location for Zahir. He apparently reopened the about six months back, but we only found out yesterday, and went to try the new location. The food continues to be very good -- prepared and presented with great attention to detail. The menu is a slightly more limited than before, as we noticed... More

This is the fourth location for Zahir. In all locations, the menu was pretty much the same. Almost all his staff have stayed with Zahir through all the moves. The chef is excellent and also an original from the first location. To me, this indicates consistency and that Zahir is a good employer. The service has been very good, not... More
