Every time we go to Monterey, it's at least one meal in Rosine's AND SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT!!! If you look in their display case, you wil see what i mean. One gargantuan slice of delicious cake could feed a small country. Even the house salads are great here! I am serious. I have NEVER had such a delicious tasting... More

Stopped by one evening for coffee and dessert. Wow. Had no idea how large a portion would be served. One can easily be split between two. We tried German Chocolate cake, Chocolate Chocolate cake and Chocolate Peanut Butter cake. All were excellent but each of us had more than half to take home. We plan on having dinner there next... I always try to stop in here when in town. I have been many times over a period of many years and the food is always great, the service friendly and responsive and the desserts are amazing. This time was a little unique as we went to the local Crab and Calamari festival and were a having an early dinner... More

The food was good.I had french toast and I really liked the bread. Our son in law had the crab benedict, he loved it. Service was good too. The desserts all look great!!! We took home some chocolate layered cake and it was awesome!!

We are locals and when I want lunch and my husband is still in breakfast mode Rosine's is always our choice. I love their minestrone soup and all of their salads are fresh and tasty. The service is also great a lot of the staff has worked their for a while. That says a lot. My ice tea is always... More

Rosine's is one of those places that make you feel like family. Server was friendly. Food portions are generous and prices are reasonable. The dessert case is over the TOP, but we were all too full....so took 2 large dessert portions home with us! Excellent. Food is consistently good, service is very good and they don't take themselves too seriously,... More

On 2 nights dinner was excellent: food, service and value. Restaurant not overly busy (others said it is busier lunchtimes) but there was enough folks in to create some buzz. Cannot fault the restaurant. Chefs obviously have skill and taste-buds. Servers and management very friendly and helpful. We cant imagine ever having room for those yummy-looking puddings, but folks were... More

This place is my "Must Visit" every time we come to Monterey. Amazing food, reasonable prices, cakes to die for (by sampler, piece or whole to go). Casual atmosphere, friendly waitstaff & lots of locals. Something for everyone here!

Growing up in Monterey, we use to "cruise Alvarado street' in our souped up cars, as teenagers. Today, Monterey proper is a thriving business and tourism hub, where locals and visitors co-mingle with the smell of the sea and the warmth of the old spanish heritage. For those who work in the area, the most often recommended place for lunch... More
