We just love this little bakery-cafe in Monterey. It's in one of the old, historic buildings right next to the Post Office (and a stone's throw from Trader Joe's). Wonderful pastries and sandwiches, great coffee. Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch--Yum!

The baker is french and has two locations in Monterey. I've had the Fraisier with raspberries and the flavor is light but still creamy. My favorite is the Experience cake which has chocolate mousse, with raspberries and pistachio cake. These cakes are pretty pricey but a good value.
