Arrived late afternoon and an old gentleman by the water feeding a few squirrels suggested we check this restaurant out. Our party of four had Fish and chips, ( crispy & light) raw oysters, ( plump and juicy) crab cocktail fresh and plentiful, steamed clams in a broth so delightful with celery you could eat like soup served with garlic... I was beginning to wonder if I should try this restaurant after reading a few reviews, but we gave it a try and were not disappointed. I had the seafood platter (the shrimp were huge)and my wife the salmon. Both were cooked just right and the service was excellent. We were seated at a corner table overlooking Morro Rock and... More

Salad came drenched in water and cioppino was not the great not bad but not good either. The view and entertainment by the local seal and otters were very entertaining however....

The good - Harbor Hut offers a fabulous view of Morro Bay and Morro Rock and the comprehensive menu has something for everyone. The not so good - the food is only average at best (my fried clams were on the scrawny side and the clam chowder a little tasteless) and the interior incredibly outdated and in places quite dirty... Love this place during my surfing trips to Morro Bay. We always stop there Fish and Chips and chowder. They have a nice sitting area that faces or on the bay. Thy have a great place next to eat where you can get some killer taffy.

Outdoor heated seating so you can watch and bay and all its critters. Our favorite is the ortega burger. Yum Yum.

We do a yearly road trip to Vegas then Arizona and the home via the California coast and I always manage to make sure that our route for that year includes Morro Bay so we can have lunch at the Harbor Hut. This meal did not disappoint! I had the seafood melt and it was just as delicious as I... More

My family and I recently ate at the Harbor Hut on a journey to San Simeon. We found the staff engaging and courteous. The restaurant's "famous for dish" was fish and chips and we were not disappointed. The clam chowder was thicker than I usually liked it, but it was absolutely loaded with clams much to my delight. No hunting... More

The bay view windows are as filthy as a window could be, absolutely disgusting. If I were the owner of this restaurant I would be very embarrassed. I would call Robert Irvine and Restaurant Impossible!! Sat down, waitress takes drink order, comes back with drinks and takes our dinner order and we don't see her again for 45 minutes. People... We had a window table with beautiful view. Shared Scallops we enjoyed. Service and food excellent. View worth pricey rates but seems average for Morro Bay.
