We have lived in Mt. Shasta for almost 20 years and have dined at the Highland House Restaurant many many times. We went to the Highland House because it was included in our package deal by staying at the Mt. Shasta Resort. The service was good and the food was great. I would recommend this place. The view was awesome and we saw deer on the golf course while eating our dinner.

The restaurant at the Mount Shasta Resort is o.k. The service is great, the food is good., the bar is o.k. to have a drink. Google Maps (as of Sept 27.2012 has the restaurant up the road a half mile or so. It actually is in the main building of the Mt Shasta Resort. The clue is they both have the same street address. Very pleasant with a nice view of Mt Shasta, over the golf course. Good American grub, I had the roast chicken.... More

We stayed at Mt. Shasta Resort a week ago and made the mistake of eating at their restaurant. My "Tombo Tuna" had less taste than old cardboard and the "fruit salsa" it was advertised as coming with consisted of one diced strawberry, period. A truly horrible culinary experience. It even managed to spoil the great view.
