Nice owner, Anwad, takes special care to present fresh, wholesome entrees. Salmon, crab, trout, chicken, veal, plated with fresh vegetable, potato, orzo, and plus salad versions of some of them. Not afraid to put new dishes in now and then. Fabulous! Homemade raviolis, pasta plates, gnocchi to die for. Good wine list. Unique seasonal desserts have such flair. Our favorite... More

I love Spalti- first of all it's in old town Palo Alto, mid town, which I love. The people who go there are typically locals and the servers have been there forever. They are so kind and it's a relaxing, homey atmosphere. Food is amazing! Love the Gnocci, Bruschetta and Osso Bucco.

My son and I were heading to Pastis a few doors down, but forgot it was closed on Mondays. So we stopped at Spalti and checked out the menu. It looked promising and a waiter came over and told us about a number of specials. We decided to try it and were glad we did. My son had bruschetta and... More

I was in the mood for Italian and didn't want anything from a chain (Olive Garden) so I decided to give Spalti a try. The place was empty so I was quite skeptical but when the food arrived I was plesantly surprised. The texture of the pasta was quite nice and the sauces were good. Also the food came out... More

I visited this place in mid February during my Bay area trip. The decor is nice and the staff very hospitable. They have a varied list of starters. The wine list is also quite good. I ordered a pasta with shrimps & chicken. The serving time was about 20 mins. The pasta was good and the vegetables fresh. Highly recommended... More

We were there for dinner. The restaurant accepted reservation. The service was good. The atmosphere was cozy. Food was so so with good portions. They accepted the groupons so the price was great. We loved the warm bread.

Located in California Avenue area of Palo Alto. Staff will let you know the house-made pastas. Each of the four of us tried one, and were not disappointed. Go ahead a split a salad- we did and were served generous portions. Wines by the glass suggested by wait-person was excellent and at a fair price. The pasta and 1/2 salad... More
