Ranked #56 of 209 restaurants in Riverside
Description: Market Broiler rose from the tradition of California seafood landmarks dating back to the 1950's. It's a casual, comfortable, moderately-priced, full-service, restaurant where fresh fish and seafood are prepared over mesquite charcoal flames.Key to its presentation is the fresh fish market, where all fish being served is on display. In addition to 18 fresh fish offered daily, entrees of fresh chicken or aged beef as well as salads and pasta are offered. The food is flavorful and portions are generous. The homestyle theme is borne out by the fact that the chowders, sauces, and dressings are made from scratch in each restaurant. Our popular sourdough bread is served warm at your table as a part of the meal.

We probably visit Market Broiler about once a month and have done so for WAY over a decade. The seafood is so consistently good that we've never tried to non-seafood alternatives. The fish/seafood is fresh and well-made. The service is consistently good as well. The weekday specials, the sourdough bread, and the cheese potatoes are standouts. Disappointments are so rare... I probably go here for lunch more than dinner. The food has always been good. Wife likes the catfish, I'm into the fish 'n chips or fresh swordfish. For lunch I have a bowl of the white chowder, a loaf of bread (yummy) and a house chardonnay. The bar is small, seats maybe six at most, but it's comfortable. They... More

This was our first time dining at Market Broiler. We had traveled to Riverside, CA from the East Coast to visit Family. Living along the East Coast we always have access to fresh seafood. We were very satisfied with the food, service and atmosphere at Market Broiler. Everyone in our party of 12 were very satisfied with their lunches. I... More

Visited for the first time this week and it was great. We arrived with the early dinner crowd. I decided to have trout and triptip combo and had both prepared cajun style. Never had cajun tritip before and it was absolutly incredible. Service was top notch and the food was delivered nice a hot. This was a definite thumbs up... More

All in all, a good evening .. an experienced waitperson .. and a fair value for what we had. As usual, the bread is the highlight of the meal, which seems strange in a seafood restaurant ... but ask anyone ... we love that bread!!! We both had the combo ... I actually had tri tip and chicken (where's the... More

We used to like MB & visited often. Ever since the remodel a few years back, we been 3 times. We've been disappointed every time. Once with a party of 8 and all 8 were disappointed with their food. Their scampi is small & lacks flavor. I won't ever waste my time or money here again & will gladly make... More

Having just returned from a trip to Sitka and Juneau, I can report that our recent meal at the Market Broiler exceeded any that we had in Alaska. The appetizers could make a meal in and of themselves. You can't really can't go wrong with any of the fish dishes, but I would suggest you splurge and get the surf... More

Thought Red Lobster was going to be my favorite sea food restaurant when I moved here. Not! Market Broiler is often packed and you do have to wait but it is worth it. Just great healthy food, wow, for a change!

Well-prepared seafood, varied menu. Service is sometimes slow during busy times, but worth the wait.
