Description: Welcome to Palazzo Giuseppe’s, downtown San Luis Obispo! Our Italian regional specialties are indicative to the Pugliese region in Italy, particularly Bari, a seaport on the Adriatic Sea from which most of our recipes originate. We hope you will enjoy and appreciate our great loyalty to the distinctive dishes, all of which we prepare with genuine and natural ingredients and methods. Our bread is baked from scratch every day in a wood-burning oven imported from Italy. Each loaf is made by hand, allowed to rise four times and slow-cooked to achieve the truly rustic appearance and taste you would find in a Baresi seaside village. DiFronzo is dedicated to producing & growing as many heirloom, organic vegetables, & fruits from his family farm as possible. Gelato, pizzas, & specialties including his estate grown Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, & Syrah. All of this takes time but to us it is an art and a labor of love. We are truly committed to bringing you "cucina genuina."

I'm a local and was excited when my wife chose Giuseppe's in San Luis Obispo for Fathers Day lunch. Yummy bread and garlic/balsamic served first. Cant' get enough of that! I just wanted a soft drink and a plate of spaghetti, and it was definitely the best sauce and meatballs I've had in years! My wife had an amazing pizza... More

Went to Giuseppe's for a night on the town on a Saturday in San Luis Obispo. We usually go to the Giuseppe's in Pismo beach it was super super busy but had reservations which was good. Otherwise we would have had to wait a very long time. Ryan and Lorin did a great job as our servers., bread with olive oil... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant after an afternoon of shopping in SLO. We were drawn in because of the atmosphere it provided as well as the reasonably priced and expansive menu. I am so happy we ate here; the cocktails were delicious, and food was even more delicious. This place is a great choice no matter the occasion, and is... More

Just returned from our second dinner here in our three day SLO visit. Tonight after the farmers market downtown, we had to return for the Killer Strawberry Shortcake that we didn't have room for two nights ago. Tonight we had a couple of glasses of wine, shared a terrific dual gnocchi appetizer (spinach/Gorgonzola beside a tomato/sausage version), and finished with... More

Although this is not really a "family" place, as vacationers, we ended up there with our early-teens. We sat in the bar where it was lively but not overwhelming -- fun but not insane. It felt like a great local scene, with sports on TV but not dominating the place. The regular dining room was warm and inviting, and spilled... More

We were on a five week motorbike trip around USA and had an enjoyable meal at this restaurant. We had to wait for a table but it was worth it. We add pasta dishes and wine, all delicious but the best thing of all was the bread, the best we had on the whole holiday and they gave us lots of... More

Loved the bread and the salad was also very good also. But sadly our entrees were just ok. Still, I might go back for the bread!

Just happend across this place fortunately we could get in but it was very busy. Nice starter of avocado and the mains were excellent. I had the tomatina a baked pasta with sausage and ham. My wife had the braised flank steak with orichetta pasta - which was specially delicious. Washed down with a San luis Zinfandel. Highly recommended.

We tried this restaurant from a friend's recommendation of the sister restaurant in PIsmo Beach down the coast. We were in a hurry to catch a Wynton Marsalis concert at CalPoly and didn't think that we would be able to make it, but the waiter was on the ball and got us out of there in time for the concert.... Out of four different dinners, three were absolutely outstanding and one was good. Beautively prepared food, well presented. Friendly, helpful staff is great with suggestions and help - so, if in doubt, go with their recommendations. Bar area was lively and seemed fun, without being too intrusive to the diners. Dining facilities were comfortable and pleasant. Great place to take... More
