Yanagi is so good they opened 4 in our area! Santa Maria, Paso Robles, Pismo Beach (2) and San Luis Obispo. From luncheon specials to "The Heart Attack", are my favorites. Go early to get a seat!

This is a fun and quality Japanese place with teppan, nigiri and rolls. It's a party place with a lot of noise and activity, so don't plan on an intimate night out. The food is always perfect. Seriously perfect.

The service is kind as expected in any kind of japanese restaurant. The mix of Japanese and Korean food gives you the opportunity to choose a light or hot food. The sushi are more likely the American (Californian) style. Mixing avocados, fruits or mayonnaise. I am planning to come back and try the Korean food too.

For some reason, Thursday nights feel like beer and sushi nights! So the husband and I filled up at Yanagi.
