Description: We are a husband & wife chef team so we have 2 kinds of food: rustic Northern Italian (meaning we make all our own salami, pasta, gelato) and playful Americana (meaning we take American classics and update them with a twist). we grow up to 30% of our own produce and have our own chickens for the eggs for our pasta. otherwise, we support local, sustainable and diverse agriculture and economy in our purchasing choices. We make our own bacon and salami from heritage pork that is antibiotic and hormone free and free range. You can order our bacon from our website www.zazurestaurant.com. Come stroll through our chef's garden! We have PIZZA & PINOT nights Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. For breakfast or lunch any day, try our sister restaurant, BOVOLO, up in Healdsburg, on the square inside Copperfield's books.

A nice restaurant a short drive outside of Santa Rosa. Locally grown and sourced food and meat make for delicious meals. Wine selection was extensive and excellent. Wait staff welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. Worth a visit when you are in Sonoma.

Santa Rosa was an hour drive from where we were staying but it was well worth it. The food is delicious (esp. loved the bacon wrapped dates, eggplant Caponata and the Char with fried green tomatoes.) The service was friendly and professional. We were thrilled to meet Duskie when she popped out of the kitchen. This place is a truly... More

I've been here several times and had always had a very good experience here. We had a plate of grilled asparagus with a truffled deviled egg. They topped the asparagus with house cured bacon mixed with vinegarette and topped it with very pretty lava bean flowers. We had the 1/2 chicken that came with gnocchi mushrooms and artichokes. We also... More

Oh what a yummy place! We went there on a Friday night, drove all the way from San Francisco because a friend recommended the place and it didn't dissapoint. It was so amazingly delicious and reasonably priced. Also service was outstanding, our waitress (her name was Kk) was divine, she explained various plates in the menu, made awesome recommendations and... More

We dined at Zazu with friends during a recent visit to Sonoma County and were not disappointed! The food was creative, everything was absolutely fresh and delicious. Appetizers were shared with the table as was the "Pig Face Poutine"...yummy! Great wine list that is reasonably priced. Our server was very knowledgeable about the dishes and she was very attentive. Took... More

Zagat rated. My wife and I had the Black Pig carbonara pizza and the Steak Benedict. The portions were large and the food excellent. I had bottomless french press coffee with the meal. Value for money. I am surely coming back.

Zazu must mean pig in some language, well I probably should have asked what it meant. We went to zarzuela based on advice from TA and other sites, and were definitely not disappointed. We showed up around 6pm without a reservation, and were told we could have a table if we left by 730 due to reservations. Although the restaurant... More

Brought my wife and was greeted with great service upon arrival. Try the bacon wrapped dates, a bit sweet but delicious.
