Description: My husband Ron and I opened il Bistro Italiano in 1998 with the idea of bringing traditional food from my area of Italy to Grand Junction. I come from a small village in Northern Italy and what we serve at the Bistro reflects my heritage, but it is also the results of years of experimentations in using local ingredients in an "Italian" way. Part of our menu is deeply traditional and part is more "innovative Italian cuisine". This philosophy in food is also reflected in our focused wine list which features an extensive selection of Italian and Colorado wines only. Our full service bar also presents several Italian liquors including a variety of grappas. We offer different seating options: a main dining room which seats about 50 people, a smaller dining room that seats about 25 and that is available for private functions, a few tables in the front of the restaurant with a good view of our open kitchen, and a covered and heated patio available from March through November.

We went here on a recommendation from a friend last weekend. The menu was extensive, lots of choices. You can also buy different kinds of pasta. My partner had gnocchi funghi and I had the lamb ragu. Both were very good. You can also order 1/2 servings on some of the entrees. We would definitely come here again. The prices... More

Really nice dinner here on a busy Saturday night. We walked in without a reservation and after some hasty checking and initially saying they were full, they managed to fit us in. Great homemade pasta and pizza all fresh and accompanied with delicious sauces. Service was efficient and friendly. All in all a good restaurant not amazing but good value... More

We have visited Il Bistro Italiano numerous times over the last couple of years. The food is consistently very good, although just a touch salty for my taste. They really shine with turning seasonal produce and local specialties in amazing dishes. This is a place not to miss in Grand Junction.

The rosetta is so good I can never make myself try anything else. Perfectly tasty sauce and delightful melt-in-youy-mouth pasta. And the desserts. chocolate cherry torte, lavender cheese cake......... I've been a little more adventurous with these, and every one has been delightful

We were starving when we walked by and smelled those wonderful smells and just had to eat here. My husband had chicken scaloppini and I had salmon . My husband kept smiling with each bite. The bread sticks were addictive. We asked the owner were to buy some products in town. He CALLED the city market to find out availability... More

Our dinner at this bistro was delicious from start to finish. My husband and I shared the artichoke soup for a starter and reviews on this site were spot on. It had perfect body... Not too thin, not too thick with nice size flecks of artichoke and gently seasoned and topped with a little Parmesan. Next we split the salad... More

I'll start off by saying that really great Italian cuisine is not easy to come by in Colorado. We have a few places we like and have to drive a bit from our mountain home in Evergreen. But, this restaurant in Grand Junction surprisingly is awesome! As good as great ones back east in Chicago and New York! Don't miss... More
