Basically, this was an engineer running a restaurant with the help of his family. Needed someone with food experience and accounting ability
They sent a message out via facebook on February 24th, 2013 that they were closed. Unfortunate because I had eaten there for lunch and dinner. Both were very good!
Went to The Petra for the first time this week. The experience was okay. Food was good, atmosphere was average, wait staff was good. They could work on the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant and make the experience much more enjoyable.
Had a great time are first time there. The food was very good and priced well. The wait staff was on top everything, and even got a show by there belly dancer. Will be going back sometime soon.
We were just there last weekend and the food and service was great. It was belly dancing night, so some fun and culture, too. Whatever people have said about the service in the beginning, we didn't see it. Everyone had really good dishes and would go back. Taking my mom to try it out right now. Don't worry, give it... More
We wandered in on a Sunday afternoon, not sure what to expect, and liked it all. The restaurant had a buffet which was very good...many items to choose from, with a lot of vegetarian items, and certainly enough meat. I especially liked a yogurt salad, and the spiced meatballs (they had a middle eastern name,) The staff was very friendly,... More

We went opening night, and the service was awful,... More
would definetly recommend this restaurant for it's food and great service. You can tell that it is a family run business and they have taken a hands on approach to make sure everything is up to par. We tried the buffet and I enjoyed the variety of food. The cuisine was diverse from sweet to spicy. There is some room... More
As a 30 year resident of Dearborn, MI - it's really nice to have a local place to have some Arabic food, and not too bad! I'd go during the week to have the buffet and sample a lot of the dishes instead of the weekend. My "stew" was good, a little on the bland side. My wife's chicken kebab... More
