The atmosphere is great - '50s music, family oriented, delicious huge portions. The selection is huge from soups, salads, sandwiches to full diner with drinks and dessert. The owners make you feel like family and you never know who you might run into - there have been celebrities spotted in the diner on multiple occassions. If you're in the Bethel... More

Great diner!! The menu is huge! My family loves all the options. I can get prime rib, my wife can get a salad with grilled chicken, and my children love the pancakes and Mac & Cheese. The soups are made fresh from scratch every day and are delicious!! The Mediterranean platter of hummus, feta cheese, Greek olives, and toasted pita... More

New Colony Diner is the best diner in CT!!! Their sautées are incredible! I ordered the "Chicken Princess" and it was OUTRAGEOUS! Huuuuge portion of breaded, baked chicken stuffed with crabmeat served over pasta. It was enough food to feed an army and yet it tasted like it belonged at a fancy high-end restaurant. Their bread is super fresh and... More

We ordered the lunch specials. They looked good at $5.25 for soup, half sandwich and a side. We ordered chicken noodle and a meatball escarole soup with two shrimp salad half sandwiches. We also had a macaroni and a potato salad. The soup was uneventful, the sandwiches runny and the macaroni and potato salads were tasteless. In other words, the... More

The new colony has been around for many years and has stayed consistantly good. Big menu and the prices are resonable. Waitstaff is very attentive and the food is in front of you before you know it.

Not the very best diner around, but reasonably good and run by nice people. Typical diner menu, fast service, and clean.

Ate here one night after leaving the Days Inn Bethel. Nice little diner. Food was good, nothing really spectacular, but good. Prices were average.
