And they serve wine. We love this place to meeting friends. Although it is cosy, you had better like your friends, the atmosphere, service and selection of wines is fantastic. The app platters are perfect to share and have a good natter over.

Wine selections are awesome! Sandwiches are a bit overpriced for what you get. Highly recommend the dessert and/or bread fondue- very good!

Really loved the cozy atmosphere and the food was good. FIreplace was nice and homey. HOWEVER, the unfriendly, arrogant older woman server behind the bar made the meal most unpleasant. Dinner at Ballou's features relatively light fare- there are paninis, sandwiches, salads, pastas and flatbread pizzas. For something substantial try the flatbread pizzas. Service was distracted. Food was just ok. nothing seemed right. Ordered panini, and cheese platter, then the figs, but the waitress forgot them.

I would recommend going to Ballou for a glass of wine and perhaps an appetizer. The wait staff are terrific. The drawback of this bistro is the wine is very pricey.
