Really good food although the restaurant itself is very basic, a busy place whenever we have been so that's says a lot about the popularity. We have been here three times this year.
This place is great! The food was better than I had expected. Authentic flavors and dishes. I love the feta rolls for an app. My husband and I also ordered the hummus with some lavas (amazing bread), I'm not a huge fan of hummus but this was so fresh it will now be mandatory when we go there. Lakeland has been dominated by chain restaurants. So, we feel fortunate that we now have the Bosphorous Turkish Kitchen in downtown Lakeland. For two, try the Mixed Grill and make sure you ask for it with the bulgar wheat. This is kind of a sampler. Their bread, Lavas, is kind of like a giant pita and comes hot right out...

Food is good and unique nice addtion to Lakeland, the night we were there they had belly dancers and music
Love the lamb kebobs and the falafel! Their "bread" is amazing... for some Turkish flair order the baba ganoush with it! The belly dancers are fun, too.
We've eaten here several times. The bread is delightful, but it is too bad that you have to order a huge hunk of bread to have pita with a meal. (Maybe take a cue from Cafe Zuppina--slices of pita bread come with the meal there.) The falafel is great, the chicken kebabs and gyro just wonderful. Whatever is called rice...

The homemade pita costs a bit more than $3 but is fresh, hot and BIG. Most dishes are served with lots of white rice (wish they'd go with brown) and a plain salad but the meats are spicey and delicious...think gyro (it's called doner here). My pal had gyro with rice and salad, I had a lamb/beef spicey grilled ground...

I've eaten here several times - twice I was so full after the appetizers that I didn't order a meal. The last time we went for lunch and had the kebobs which were excellent. Try out some of the fantastic food here - your waitress will be happy to help you pick out something.
The staff was helpful and friendly and the smell was heavenly. The food was delicious, don't miss it.
