Fabulous atmosphere & great service! Just a small boat trip away from Captiva Island! The ride over with the wildlife is terrific!

Best scallops outside of New England. I HIGHLY recommend asking for something not on the menu: fried scallop basket. They can not always oblige as they sometimes do not have enough stock....that is a good sign! Don't forget the rice & beans plus some plantains. Friendly service....best food on NCI, and this was true in 2012. Outside decor and atmosphere... More

Had lunch here after cruise. Food was good but even better was our server, Amber. Very friendly and efficient!! Definitely worth the trip for a fun time.

BP's as we call it is still good. New owners and it seems to have dropped the Phil's moniker, but the food is still good and the location is terrific. Be careful of the lunch crowds on certain days (big boats with lots of people). Conch fritter and a beer were my favorites.

We ate there for lunch and dinner while on the island and 1 thing to keep in mind is that this restaurant is on an island. So no big trucks to haul food and wait staff comes from Pine Island on the ferry. I didn’t have anything to fuss about like the people below other than if you wanted to... More

A few years ago I tried barnacles, and swore I'd never go back because the food was simply horrible, and service was pathetic. As an island resident, I gave the restaurant and second chance when Chef Mary was hired. She put this restaurant in a better place than it had ever been. The food was rich, gourmet, and fairly priced.... More

Made a trip by boat recently to Barnacles and was substantially disappointed. We have been there many times over the last 15 years, but found that the new owners have missed obvious details in a variety of areas... All the outside picnic tables, once brightly painted with nautical scenes, apparently have not seen a bleach wipe down in many, many... More

Every boater around Sanibel and Captiva knows that Barnacle Phil's is a perfect destination for lunch. The food is just much better than expected and the fish sandwich is my favorite. This last visit (2/20/13) was maybe the best yet, and our waitress, Amber, made it even better. She was friendly, professional and made the whole visit memorable.
