We decided to dine at this restaurant on a Wednesday. The food, servcie, presentation were amazing. At the end of the meal, we decided to have two desserts. We choose the tuxedo chocolate cake & the carrot cake. The carrot cake was so exquisite!!! A must try when in the Sanibel/captiva area. Always the best cuisine around town.

We had a larger group celebrating a special birthday. We went to the Crow's Nest first for cocktails. We were told we could order drinks after he brought our waters (in lidded Styrofoam cups). 30 minutes later we were told our table was ready and we were thirsty for our first cocktail. We waited a ridiculous amount of time for... More

Travelmore2day, Thank you for taking the time to post a review on your experience at the Old Captiva House. I am familiar with the evening you speak of and your party specifically. It was a busy night but by no means does that excuse my team and I for the mishaps on our part throughout the night. We recently redeveloped... More

Nice ambiance and good food. Service was fine. Stick with the seafood. Not a quiet place, but upscale for the area.

We visited Green Flash once again on our annual visit to Captiva although Saturday night was a busy night the service was excellent and the food extremely good, do try the fish we had both Swordfish and Grouper main courses at the table and they tasted truly wonderful. We have been coming here for six years and the meal tonight... More

We enjoyed our meal, its presentation, and the entire dining experience so much that we asked to meet the Chef, Jason Miller, to tell him in person. And we did! The atmosphere is quiet and romantic due in part to the wonderful piano playing. We think his name is Frank and we were delighted that he remembered us after twelve... More

We love our breakfast there every morning. Our family visited January 2012 over New Years. Great food and staff is friendly. NO rushing.

We celebrated our 17th Wedding Anniversary and this place was so romantic. The best part was watching the sunset from our table. The crab cakes were so moist, my husband had the stuffed snapper he loved it and I had the halibut with risotto. If you are in town try it.

I was pleasantly surprised by my recent dinner at the Old Captiva House. The menu has been expanded with many more choices and even sizes of entree: small or large. I had their famous Blue Crab Bisque followed by a small portion of small pasta shells with tomatoes, red wine, kalamata olives and a small roasted chicken breast on top.... More

We ate dinner twice (out of four nights) at Old Captiva House while staying in the Tween Waters Inn. Very good food and great service. Ate the first night at the more casual restaurant and fourth night at another restaurant at the end of Captiva (Green Flash). Old Captiva House was better.

We were seated at a table with a nice view of the gulf. The piano music was a nice addition. We ordered snapper dishes, one was the special, and the other was on the menu. Both were outstanding! We also appreciated the attention of the general manager, who stopped by a couple of times to assist. The chef stopped by,... More
