I will say that I really enjoyed the food, but this place is way over priced for what you get. This is in a strip mall but the prices make it seem like you are in a fine dining restaurant. With that being said my shrimp would cooked perfectly.

I really enjoy Calypso. The service is great, and the food is great too. I am an oyster fan, and their oysters are nearly perfect. I had the tuna, which was fresh and tasty. My boyfriend had mahi mahi, with spicy mustard cucumbers for a side. They were unique, but really good! This place is kind of hidden, so it...

Another great place where the locals go. Even in rain storm, this place was full and I can see why. Clean, good food and really great staff. Great menu covers all the bases. I had Oysters Rockefeller that were delish. House made ginger dressing on a fresh salad was so good it was like a dessert. Hubby had a burger...

i have traveled in over 75 nations and trie to eat fish wherever it is available. It was $27.00 including two sides and a wonderful salad. Please go enjoy this...

Calypso has been in the Pompano area for at least 20 years. After moving from a local shopping area that is now all apartments, the locals still visit this place in force. They serve both the typical fresh fish lunches and dinners as well as some "different" ones. The Stamp-and-Go is quite a tasty "codfish" fish cake with a curry...

Calypso Restaurant is truly a local gem. It is located in a plain strip mall but do not let that deter you from stopping by. They are not open on the weekends so stop by for lunch or dinner during the week.
The menu has West Indian tones but what is truly their sweet spot is local fish cooked in...

Relaxed, very casual, great spot for fresh seafood. Hidden gem in Pompano but not open weekends - just private parties.
I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't broke don't fix it!" we've been to calypso 3 times in the week we've been on vacation here! My dad lives in the neighborhood and showed us this little gem. All 3 of us have been in the restaurant biz for years and this has been one of our favorites. The staff...

Been coming here for years. Start with the Jerk wings (they are really spicy so be careful) and grilled conch. Their signature dish is called the Calypso Cutter sandwich which is a hollowed out kaiser roll filled with sauteed shrimp, garlic, parsley, mushrooms and cheddar cheese that is then broiled to melt the cheese. Need a fork to eat this...
