Reading so many positive reviews of this venue we decided to try it on Mothers Day 2013. The outside is quite attractive with an al~fresco area. Our first impression was not comfortable. The table the Maiter-d showed us to was unacceptable because of the noise and its very small size. We requested a table in a quieter area and were... More

We were aware the lunch menu was limited but we were too early for dinner. I cannot speak to the dinner meals, but I can warn not to go for lunch. I do not know where those rave reviews came from but I can't believe they were meant for Torch. The place was empty and I believe that speaks volumes.... More

Excellent food! We had the lamb and the ossobucco, delicious. Also love those little bread nuggets as we called them. Atmosphere is very nice and our server was friendly and efficient, as was the host at the door. I also noted how quickly the bus boys cleaned up the tables after diners had left. I joined their birthday club so... More

We really enjoyed the Torch. Our server, Heidi, did a fantastic job. She was friendly, knowledgable and very helpful. We had the calamari for appetizer. It has a great Thei seasoning. Our entree was the roast duck. It was crispy good. We also shared a bottle of wine. the wine and food prices are both very fair. I highly recommend... More

Stopped by the bar early on a Sat evening. Only one other at the bar there. Got fairly prompt service but then ignored. Unless you are a regular don't expect any attention. I can't remember the last time I have experienced such poor service.

Tried Torch for the first time last week and was pleased to find a new dining experience in Punta Gorda. The service and food was excellent. I recommend the pulled pork, mahi mahi, and their signature dish osso buco. The meals were freshly prepared and the pulled pork entree was amazing. Service was friendly and atmosphere was NY bistro.

I loved the ambiance of this restaurant, very relaxed and inviting. We sat at the bar and had a lot of appetizers of which the clams were my favorite. This place has the feel of fine dining meeting a neighborhood bar as there were a lot of regulars there that all loved the bartender who, by the way, definitely knows... More

Nice interior with open kitchen area. Food was ok, but reminded me of a friendly upscale tic tock diner based upon the menu Service was far to quick,,stater, salad, and main were all on the table at one point

The place is very relaxed and not pretentious in a good way. You feel like you are coming to your friend's place. It just seems that everyone is sincerely happy to see you there. The owner Heidi is a funny energetic and charismatic person. The menu is quite extended and everything sounds really good. We had several appetizers: clams, stuffed... More

I don't understand why the Torch Bistro has some great reviews. Four of us had dinner there last night and found the place to be just barely mediocre. The restaurant atmosphere is noisy and cheap looking. The food was just OK. I had a tasteless version of pasta and seafood. My husband had an OK eggplant parmesan, and our two... More
